Sport Techie profiles VNTANA, a company that makes augmented reality experiences with holograms to help brands connect with customers. VNTANA announced the first-ever artificially-intelligent hologram concierge on Tuesday, which it plans to build out featuring popular pro athletes and station at kiosks located in professional sports arenas.
Imagine showing up to Dodger Stadium and having Clayton Kershaw direct you to your seat. Of course, it wouldn’t really be him, as he’d be busy on the field warming up. But rather, a hologram version of him built specifically to assist you!
This hologram is accessed without a clunky headset or a touchscreen device, making it very different from, say, Microsoft’s Hololens. That makes it more functional in high-trafficked stadiums where people need quick assistance.
